Paolo Grazzi studied oboe in Parma and Baroque oboe at The Royal Conservatory of Brussels, gaining the Premier Prix. He plays regularly with groups such as Il Giardino Armonico and Le Concert de Nations directed by Jordi Savall.

His appointment as Baroque oboe teacher at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan was the first of its kind in Italy. Many players of the new generation graduated under his guidance and now play in orchestras all over the world.

Besides performing, Paolo Grazzi devotes himself to researching oboes from the 18th Century and to the making of copies. He teaches oboe at the Conservatory of Verona.
