Alfredo Bernadini studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, obtaining the Soloist Diploma in 1987. He has been a member or soloist with outstanding groups including the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, The English Concert, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Hesperion XX and Bach Collegium Japan.

He has taken part in over one hundred recordings, including a CD of Vivaldi's Oboe Concertos which won the 1995 Cannes Classical Award. Besides directing Zefiro Baroque Orchestra, he also directs orchestras across Europe.

Alfredo Bernadini makes copies of his historical oboes and is active in the research of their history. He teaches at Conservatoires in Amsterdam and Barcelona, and is regularly invited to teach at many summer courses.
