Kingsbury Barn dates from 1374 and was built as a grain store by St Albans Abbey. Having fallen into disrepair, there was a long period of uncertainty regarding its future. With the invaluable support of local people it was saved from developers and has recently been completely and painstakingly refurbished by owners Jill and Adam Singer.
The barn now needs to reclaim its place at the heart of the community and we are delighted to have been invited by the Singers to join with them at the start of this exciting project. With Lucy's husband Adrian as a fellow director, we will be assisting with artistic input and management of the barn.
Interest has swelled with many people having their first chance to see the renovated barn at the 2009 St Albans Heritage Weekend.
